Old Abstract

Abstract: Brazilian Ethanol Production, Past and Present:

In this paper I plan on describing the evolution of ethanol production throughout Latin America, using Brazil as the prime example. I will provide a history of what started their ethanol production, as well as some implications it may hold for Brazil’s future energy expectations. I will address issues of dependency and the influence being shed on other Latin American countries. I will also have a hands on application to this paper producing ethanol myself to better understand the process that produces this fuel.
